Statistics Canada released employment data on Friday. The Canadian economy created 21,600 jobs in November, against economists’ consensus estimates of 12,500. The unemployment rate held at 6.9% for the third straight month. In the first 11 months of 2013, an average of 13,400 jobs has been added each month. In the US, the news was good: 203,000 jobs were created in November and the unemployment rate reached a five year low of 7.0%.
